• Ground floor: General Dental Practice: 8x surgeries
• 1st Floor: Dental Academy: Lecture theatre (60 person capacity), 3x training surgeries, 2x breakout rooms
• 2nd Floor: Community Dental Service (6x surgeries)

The Bangor academy hosts various skills training and development sessions for the whole workforce. Keep checking the calendar of events for upcoming activity.

The Bangor practice is a flagship dental academy practice in North Wales, which embraces all the requirements of contract reform, adopting a preventive approach to care for all. Increased access will be available to those patients with higher levels of need and it will provide a full range of high quality, evidenced based care to meet the needs of the population. The practice offers services to the population beyond traditional core hours to ensure that all those patients who seek to access dental services are able to do so. Core to the service is the ability to embrace innovation.

This includes:

• abandoning the Unit of Dental Activity mind-set
• adopting Assessment of Clinical Oral Risk and Needs (ACORN) led integrated care
• use of digital technology where appropriate to improve care
• the Dental Academy will help to shape the development of driving innovative change in the provision of care.

Our vision is there will be many physical spaces across the North Wales region, from which the dental academy will operate.
