Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) Foundation Course

This 15-hour professional education module aims to give students an understanding of the foundations of care for patients with interstitial lung diseases.
The course provides an overview of the prevalence of different ILDs and their impact. Students will gain an understanding of the importance of safe and accurate diagnosis. Current evidence on ILD management will be explored, including the role of non-pharmacological approaches and the importance of supportive care.
The course has been designed by experienced practising clinicians who share a passion for improving the lives of those with ILD. Learning materials are varied and include guided activities with ongoing assessment and feedback, and patient stories throughout the module.
The course content is mapped to nationally recognised standards and professional codes, and successful completion will equip students with the knowledge and skills to deliver guideline-based care and further develop their professional practice. This course is therefore ideally suited for both CPD and workforce development purposes.
